Rope Bridge Tree House

In architectural terms it’s called a suspension bridge. In the case of this high-reaching tree dwelling, it could be referred to as a creative entryway to enjoyment and excitement. Almost entirely engulfed by multiple trees, we used the ramp to ramp up the fun. And the imagination.

We sunk pressure-treated posts deep into cement on both front and rear of this stout 16 sq ft platform. This bridge’s cargo is way too precious to take any shortcuts.
From a certain angle it seems as though the tree limbs are actually protruding through the side wall of the treehouse. In this case, things are exactly as they appear.
We’re not going out on a limb when we boasted this treehouse will surely bring this family closer to nature.
Every treehouse is as unique as the backyard and the trees in it. This treehouse may not be large in floor space, but the extra tall gabled roof gives the interior distinctive cathedra-lesk feel.
Cedar was used throughout the structure including the deck, railings and siding. Raw cedar shakes were used for the roof to add a more rustic feel. Notice the slight angle of the roofline as it flairs at the bottom. Can you say gingerbread cottage…
The view from the rear isn’t nearly as fancy as the front rope bridge angle. But from below, the union of mother nature’s handywork and man-made ingenuity/workmanship is something to behold.
